About Steenox

A free toolbox that turns your browser into a video studio — your files never leave your device.

What is Steenox?

Steenox is a free online video toolbox. It gives you the everyday video jobs most people need — converting between formats (MP4, WebM, MOV), compressing large files, trimming clips, extracting MP3 audio, turning short clips into GIFs, designing YouTube thumbnails, and even generating hashtags and video titles — all from a single web page, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Who is it for?

How does it work?

Everything happens locally, inside your own browser, using proven open-source video technology (FFmpeg, running as WebAssembly). The process is simple: you pick a tool, choose your video file, press the button, and download the result. Your file is processed on your device — it is never uploaded to our servers, because we don't have servers that receive files. There is nothing to sign up for and no watermark added to your output.

What Steenox is not

An honest boundary: Steenox works with your own video files — videos you recorded, received, or have the right to use. Our tools cannot download videos from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or any other platform, and they cannot fetch a video from a link. If you need a copy of a video from one of those platforms, please use that platform's own official download or sharing options.

Why is it free?

Because the expensive part of a video service — the servers that process files — doesn't exist here. Your device does the work, so there is almost nothing for us to pay for. That keeps Steenox free, without accounts, subscriptions or catch.
